Academic & Student Affairs

The Academic and Student Affairs (ASA) unit in the Board of Governors’ Office provides support and oversight to the twelve institutions in the State University System (SUS) to offer high-quality academic programs and related support services to prepare students for success in the global community and marketplace. ASA provides leadership and coordination via collaborative data collection, research, analysis, policy development, and strategic planning for academic, student, research, and economic development issues that affect the SUS. Additionally, staff members work closely with the Board of Governors and university colleagues, as well as other educational, governmental, and community partners, to address academic and student concerns and opportunities that rise to a System level of interest.
